Analisis Karakteristik Peserta Arisan Di Kota Medan, Sumatera Utara

This paper analyses the variables relating to the formation of people behaviour in taking part in arisan in Medan City. In one side, the variables analysed are individual characteristics such as age, ethnicity and merital status.  In the other side, the variables analysed are socio-economic status, occupation and income.   It is found that it is not all of those chracteristics distinguish factors forming people behaviour in taking part in arisan. The level of education and occupation differentiate people’s view point and intra-personel attitude in participating in arisan, while income level  distinguishes internal motivation, external motivation as well image in taking part in arisan.
